  • What is the price of an edition and how do I buy?

Please see www.statesidesounds.com/subscribe.php to buy all six editions (plus a free Demo Edition). The cost for all editions is US$99, and you will be able to download all editions within 24 hours of purchase. This gives you approximately 14 hours of dialogues and exercises in MP3 format plus the seven books (each with 11,000 to 15,000 words) and flash cards. You can also buy one edition at a time through our store. The cost of one edition is $19.99.
  • How do I obtain the most benefit from the Stateside Sounds service?

For a set of guideline on how to get the most out of our service, please click here. [We will also send this separately to each of our customers.]
  • What forms of payment do you accept?

You may pay online with VISA, Mastercard, or American Express.  We also accept PayPal and a USD check drawn on a US bank.  If you would like to pay by PayPal or check, please contact us.  If you would like to pay by phone, you may call us at +1 770 921 2100 (9 am to 6 pm Eastern Time; GMT - 5 hours).
  • What is your cancellation policy?

We deliver all materials within 24 hours of purchase. Once downloaded all sales are final. If you purchase on a "pas as you go" option, you can cancel your future editions at anty time.
  • I am a teacher/school.  How do I use Stateside Sounds in the classroom? How much does Stateside Sounds cost for unlimited use in my school?

Pricing for schools depends on the number of students and teachers using the materials.  Please contact us to request pricing for your school.  Click here for just a few ideas on how to use our dialogues and other materials in the classroom.
  • Does the transcript provide a full translation to my native language? When will the footnotes/supplemental information be available in my native language?

The transcript provides you with every word that is on the CDs.  It is not translated into your native language.  However, each transcript comes with footnotes and extra material in "easy to understand" English so that you can understand the more difficult words and phrases.  The footnotes will be available in other languages based on subscriber demand.
  • How can my company obtain a discount for its employees?

Employees of a company can obtain a discounted rate (at least 10%) if their company a) has at least 10 employees who desire to purchase Stateside Sounds and b) is willing to have each edition shipped to the company (who will distribute the packages through the internal mail system). Note that the employees -- not the company -- will be responsible for payment). Contact us for more information or to register your company's interest.
  • How large are the MP3 files if I choose electronic delivery?  How large are the pdf files of the written materials?

The MP3 files (at the highest quality) are about 50 MB each (2 files in zipped, or compressed, format).  The transcript and other written materials together are less than 5MB.  If you do not have a high speed internet connection (DSL, cable, or T1 connection) it will not be practical to choose electronic delivery of materials. After you download the MP3 files you can put them on your MP3 player or create an audio CD (or listen to them on your computer). Once you download the transcript (a 48 page book), you could choose to print all or part of it. The flash cards are meant to be printed on card stock (very heavy paper).
  • Why do you not offer delivery by mail?

We find that most of our customers prefer immediate electronic delivery. Once the audio materials are downloaded it is easy to burn your own CDs so that you can listen in the car, at home, etc. Of course, you can also load the dialogues and exercises onto your Ipod.
